State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid announced on Monday that the gas supply situation will improve from next week, with a return to normalcy expected a week after that. The announcement was made during a press briefing at the Secretariat.
The minister attributed the current gas crisis to a combination of factors, including reduced supply from domestic gas fields and maintenance work at the LNG terminal. He assured that efforts are underway to resolve these issues promptly.
According to the state minister, the government is working to increase gas production from local fields and expedite the import of LNG to meet demand. He urged consumers to remain patient and assured that the situation would stabilize within the next two weeks.
