A contract has been awarded for the construction of a $270 million water treatment plant in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The project aims to enhance water security in the region.
The plant will have a capacity of 150 million gallons per day, according to reports. It is expected to be completed by 2028.
The contract was awarded by the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) to a consortium led by a major engineering firm. The plant will use reverse osmosis technology.
