French football stars Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann have teamed up for a charity project that has raised €2 million to support underprivileged children in France. The initiative, called 'Unis pour l'Enfance' (United for Childhood), was launched in early 2026 and has already funded educational programs and sports equipment for over 5,000 children in low-income communities.
According to a press release from the players' representatives, the project includes a series of fundraising events, including a charity match held at the Parc des Princes in Paris on June 15, 2026, which attracted 40,000 spectators. The event featured current and former French national team players, as well as international celebrities.
Mbappé stated, 'We wanted to use our platform to give back to the communities that supported us. Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces is the greatest reward.' Griezmann added, 'This is just the beginning. We plan to expand the project to other countries next year.'
The charity has partnered with several NGOs, including Secours Populaire and UNICEF France, to ensure the funds are distributed effectively. Organizers confirmed that 100% of donations go directly to programs, with administrative costs covered by the players themselves.
