France's Ambassador to Morocco, Christophe Lecourtier, visited the city of Laayoune on Monday, April 14, 2026, to inaugurate new facilities at the Lycée Paul Pascon. The school is part of the Mlf Maroc network (formerly OSUI), which oversees French educational institutions in Morocco.
The Lycée Paul Pascon, which opened in 2012, is the only French-curriculum school in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region. The newly inaugurated facilities are designed to increase the school's capacity and enhance its educational offerings for students from kindergarten through high school.
The visit by the French ambassador underscores the ongoing cultural and educational cooperation between France and Morocco. The event was attended by local Moroccan officials and representatives of the French community in the region.
