The French government has officially launched the "YSchools" application, a new digital tool designed to facilitate the reporting of child protection concerns by educational staff. The app is part of the broader national strategy "Ambition Enfance 2026," which aims to strengthen the protection of minors.
According to the Ministry of National Education and Youth, the application provides a secure and simplified channel for teachers and school personnel to alert child welfare services (ASE) about students they believe may be in danger. The goal is to accelerate and streamline the reporting process to ensure faster intervention.
The launch coincides with ongoing national efforts to reform child protection systems. The government has emphasized that the app is intended to complement, not replace, existing legal reporting obligations and procedures.
