Morocco's national team coach, Walid Regragui, has announced his squad for upcoming friendly matches against the Czech Republic and Uruguay. The list includes defender Ayoub Amrani, a product of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, known for its youth teams nicknamed 'Les Diablotins'. This marks the first call-up for a graduate of this specific academy program to the senior national team.

The squad sees the return of several key players, including Achraf Hakimi and Sofyan Amrabat, who were recently sidelined due to injury. The matches are part of Morocco's preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.

Notably absent from the selection is highly-rated 17-year-old attacking midfielder Rayan Bounida. The Belgian-born player, who currently plays for Anderlecht's youth side, has represented Belgium at youth levels but remains eligible for Morocco. His non-selection has been a topic of discussion among fans and pundits.

The friendlies are scheduled to be played on March 22 and March 26, 2026, as the Atlas Lions continue to build their team following their historic semi-final run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
