SINGAPORE – A flash flood occurred on Mountbatten Road on the morning of May 15, 2026, following a heavy downpour. The flood subsided after about 15 minutes, according to the national water agency PUB.
PUB issued alerts at 10:47 am advising motorists to avoid Mountbatten Road from Amber Road to Tanjong Rhu Road. The agency reported that the flash flood was caused by intense rainfall overwhelming the drainage system temporarily.
No injuries or major disruptions were reported. PUB reminded the public to stay vigilant during heavy rain and to check for flood alerts via their mobile app or website.
