Five men were arrested in Dublin on Thursday afternoon after a car failed to stop for gardaí and was subsequently involved in a collision with two other vehicles.
The incident occurred in the Knocklyon area at approximately 1:40 p.m. on April 3, 2026. A vehicle with five occupants did not stop for a garda patrol. Shortly afterward, the car was involved in a collision with two other cars.
All five men in the vehicle were arrested at the scene. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in south Dublin. No serious injuries were reported from the collision.
Gardaí have indicated that the men were suspected of involvement in a burglary earlier in the day, which prompted the initial attempt to stop the vehicle. Investigations into both the burglary and the traffic incident are ongoing.
