Entebbe International Airport is fully prepared to facilitate the arrival and departure of foreign dignitaries expected for President Yoweri Museveniβs swearing-in ceremony next week, the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has announced.
The UCAA confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure smooth operations, including enhanced security measures and coordination with relevant authorities. The airport is expected to handle an influx of VIP flights and delegations from various countries.
President Museveni, who has been in power since 1986, is set to be sworn in for another term following his victory in the January 2026 general election. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Kampala.
UCAA officials stated that they are working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other agencies to ensure a seamless experience for all guests. Additional staff have been deployed to key areas, and contingency plans are in place for any disruptions.
