Schroeder co-founded and served as the executive director of Answer, a national sexuality education organization based at Rutgers University. She was a vocal proponent of evidence-based, inclusive, and comprehensive sex education in schools. Throughout her career, Schroeder was a dedicated advocate for LGBTQ+ youth, authoring resources and providing training to help educators and parents support them.
