An 80-year-old woman was assaulted in her home in the 13th arrondissement of Paris on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, around 3:30 p.m. local time, according to police sources.
The suspect, a man in his 30s, allegedly forced entry into the victim's apartment on Rue de la Santé. He struck the woman in the face before stealing several items, including jewelry and cash.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. She was treated and released later that evening. Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing security camera footage from the area.
