French construction group Eiffage is building four photovoltaic plants in Morocco, with a total capacity of 100 megawatts (MW). The projects are located in the regions of Ouarzazate, Laâyoune, and Boujdour, according to a company statement.
The plants are part of Morocco's National Energy Strategy, which aims to increase the share of renewable energy to 52% of installed capacity by 2030. Eiffage's subsidiary, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, is handling the engineering, procurement, and construction.
Construction began in early 2026, and the plants are expected to be operational by the end of 2027. The electricity generated will be sold under long-term power purchase agreements.
