The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has declared that tough times await fraudsters in Nigeria. He made this statement on June 10, 2026, during the commissioning of the EFCC's Ekiti Zonal Directorate office complex in Ado-Ekiti, which was performed by President Bola Tinubu.
Olukoyede assured residents of Ekiti State that the commission is committed to fighting corruption and financial crimes, and that the new office will enhance the EFCC's operations in the region. He emphasized that the agency will not relent in its efforts to bring perpetrators to justice.
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, reiterated the state's zero tolerance for corruption, praising the EFCC for its dedication. The event was attended by dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
