The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has reported that the number of Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has risen to 1,274. The outbreak has also affected healthcare workers, with 92 infected in the DRC and 4 in Uganda, bringing the total to 96.
According to Africa CDC, the spread of the virus has been partly attributed to exposure in health facilities. The agency continues to monitor the situation and coordinate response efforts across the region.
As of June 30, 2026, the outbreak remains a significant public health concern, with ongoing efforts to contain the virus through vaccination campaigns and community engagement.
