International consulting firm DGA Group has signed a representation agreement with OCP North America, the U.S. subsidiary of Moroccan state-owned fertilizer producer OCP Group. The contract, filed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), tasks DGA with providing government relations and strategic communications services to advocate for OCP's interests with U.S. federal executive and legislative branches.

The agreement, effective from February 2026, involves DGA principals Dennis G. Alessi and Michael Esposito. FARA filings indicate the firm will monitor U.S. policy developments relevant to OCP's business, which centers on phosphate-based fertilizers critical for agriculture.

The engagement comes amid a complex U.S. regulatory environment for foreign investment in agriculture and critical minerals. OCP is a major global player in the phosphate market, and its U.S. operations include a distribution partnership with The Mosaic Company. DGA's lobbying efforts will focus on issues related to trade, agriculture, and foreign policy affecting OCP's activities.

OCP has previously engaged in U.S. advocacy, including a 2023 partnership with former U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss. The new contract with DGA Group underscores the ongoing efforts by international agribusiness firms to navigate American political and regulatory landscapes.
