The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – XI has closed a portion of the Davao-Bukidnon Road in Purok 39, Sitio Marahan, Barangay Marilog Proper after two lanes collapsed due to a road slip on Friday, July 18, 2026.
According to DPWH-XI spokesperson, the incident occurred early in the morning, and no casualties have been reported. The affected section is a critical route connecting Davao City to Bukidnon province, used by commuters and cargo trucks.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via the Davao-Cotabato Road or the Davao-Agusan National Highway. DPWH-XI has deployed personnel for assessment and repair, but no timeline for reopening has been announced yet.
