Daryl McCormack has been cast in a leading role for a new, untitled thriller series for Apple TV+, according to a report from Deadline. The series is created and written by Emmy Award-winning writer and executive producer Alex Cary, known for his work on "Homeland" and "A Spy Among Friends."
McCormack will star opposite previously announced leads Dakota Fanning and Stellan Skarsgård. The project is described as a conspiracy thriller set in the world of corporate espionage. The plot follows a corporate spy who, after being poisoned, has only hours to uncover who is trying to kill her and why.
Alex Cary will serve as showrunner and executive producer. The series is a production for Apple TV+ from Apple Studios and wiip, the production company behind "Mare of Easttown." An official release date has not yet been announced.
McCormack, known for his roles in "Good Luck to You, Leo Grande" and Apple's "Bad Sisters," continues his relationship with the streaming platform. This casting marks a significant next step for the actor following his BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination in 2023.
