According to recent market data from Hagerty and Bring a Trailer, prices for classic Volkswagen buses and Ford Broncos have declined significantly from their 2021-2022 peaks. A 1960s VW Bus that sold for over $200,000 in 2021 now averages around $140,000, a drop of about 30%.
Similarly, early Ford Broncos, which hit record highs of $150,000+ during the pandemic, have seen values fall to $100,000-$120,000 for top-condition models. The decline is attributed to rising interest rates, cooling collector demand, and increased supply as owners cash out.
Market analysts note that while prices are down, they remain well above pre-pandemic levels. The trend reflects a broader normalization in the classic car market after an unprecedented boom.
