Bilateral trade between China and Russia exceeded $200 billion for the third consecutive year in 2025, according to data from China's General Administration of Customs. The total trade volume reached $206.3 billion, marking a 2.1% increase year-on-year.
China's exports to Russia rose by 4.1% to $97.8 billion, while imports from Russia increased by 0.3% to $108.5 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of $10.7 billion for China. Key imports from Russia included energy products such as crude oil, natural gas, and coal, as well as agricultural goods.
The sustained trade growth reflects the deepening economic ties between the two countries amid Western sanctions on Russia. Chinese officials have emphasized that the trade relationship is based on mutual benefit and compliance with international rules.
