As of May 2026, Apple's CarPlay system has expanded its app support to include six popular applications: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, Google Meet, WhatsApp, and Audiomack. These additions were verified through official Apple announcements and app updates.
ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, and Perplexity AI's search assistant are now available for voice-controlled interactions while driving. Grok, the AI chatbot from xAI, has also been integrated. Google Meet enables video calls through CarPlay's interface, while WhatsApp allows messaging and calls. Audiomack, an independent music streaming platform, joins the list for audio playback.
These apps were added to CarPlay in recent weeks, with updates rolling out via the iOS App Store. Users must have compatible vehicles and iPhone models running iOS 17 or later to access these features.
