The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially dismissed an appeal by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) regarding the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The decision, announced by CAF's appeal board, definitively confirms Senegal as the tournament champion.

The FRMF had lodged a formal protest following Senegal's 1-0 victory after extra time in the final, which was played on February 9, 2025. The appeal contested several refereeing decisions made during the match.

After reviewing the submission, the CAF appeal board found the protest to be inadmissible. The governing body stated that the referee's decisions on the field of play are final and cannot be challenged through an appeal process, as per the competition regulations.

This ruling brings closure to the post-tournament dispute and upholds the original result. Senegal's victory marks their second AFCON title, having previously won the tournament in 2021.
