Michael Brennan won the Wyndham Championship on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The victory secured his spot in the FedExCup Playoffs, which begin this week.
Brennan, who entered the final round with a lead, shot a final-round 66 to finish at 20-under-par 260, two strokes ahead of runner-up J.T. Poston. It was Brennan's second career PGA Tour victory and his first of the 2026 season.
With the win, Brennan moved to No. 12 in the FedExCup standings, earning a spot in the first playoff event, the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. The top 70 players qualify for the playoffs.
"I just tried to stay patient and make birdies when I could," Brennan said in his post-round interview. "It feels amazing to get it done."
