The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Monday that Morocco will host the 2027 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON U17). The tournament is scheduled to take place in April and May 2027.
The decision was communicated in an official statement from CAF, confirming Morocco as the host nation. This will be the first time Morocco hosts the U17 AFCON since 2018, when it also staged the competition.
The CAF statement did not specify the cities or stadiums that will be used, but Morocco has invested heavily in football infrastructure in recent years, including stadiums built for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup.
The U17 AFCON serves as a qualification pathway for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, with the top four teams earning a spot in the global tournament.
