For the Easter long weekend in 2026, the City of Brampton has announced holiday schedules for municipal services. City Hall, all administrative offices, and recreation centres will be closed on Good Friday, April 3, and Easter Monday, April 6. Essential services like fire, police, and emergency medical services will operate as usual.
Brampton Transit will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule on Good Friday and Easter Monday. On Saturday, April 4, and Easter Sunday, April 5, regular Saturday and Sunday schedules will be in effect respectively. The Transit Customer Service Centre at Brampton Gateway Terminal will also be closed on the statutory holidays.
Curbside waste collection will not occur on Good Friday. Collections scheduled for that day will be shifted to Saturday, April 4. All other collection days for the week remain unchanged. Residents are reminded to have materials at the curb by 7 a.m.
Most public libraries will be closed on April 3 and April 6, though some may offer limited hours on the Saturday and Sunday; patrons should check the Brampton Library website for specific branch details. All community recycling centres will be closed on the statutory holidays.
