A 14-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Nottinghamshire Police were called to reports of an attack near Wensley Road shortly before 4:00 p.m. BST on Friday, April 18, 2026.
A 13-year-old girl sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Her condition is now described as stable. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Nottingham Youth Court on Saturday, April 19.
Police have stated that the two individuals were known to each other and that this was an isolated incident. A knife was recovered from the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are not seeking anyone else in connection with the attack.
