A barangay captain was gunned down in Barangay Kansumandig, La Libertad, Negros Oriental on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, according to the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region.
Police said gunshots were heard as the victim was driving a motorcycle on his way to an unspecified destination. The victim was declared dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.
