Three pallets containing ballot papers and statutory forms arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Monday, May 11, 2026, ahead of the by-elections scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026.
The election materials are intended for the Member of National Assembly by-election in various constituencies. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) confirmed the arrival and stated that the materials are being processed for distribution to the respective polling stations.
Security personnel were present at JKIA to receive the consignment. The IEBC has assured the public that all necessary measures are in place to ensure a smooth electoral process on May 14.
