The Moroccan Association for Drinking Water and Sanitation (AMEPA) held its mixed general assembly recently in Rabat, marking the renewal of its governance bodies. Following the vote, Tarik Hamane, Director General of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), was elected president of the association.
The assembly brought together members from various sectors to discuss the association's strategic directions and elect new leadership. Hamane's election is seen as a move to strengthen collaboration between AMEPA and ONEE in addressing water and sanitation challenges in Morocco.
AMEPA plays a key role in promoting best practices and knowledge sharing in the water and sanitation sector. The new leadership is expected to focus on sustainable water management and improving access to clean water across the country.
