Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated on Friday that Nigerians have yet to see the best of President Bola Tinubu, despite what he described as significant milestones achieved by the current administration. Akpabio made the remarks while addressing attendees at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja.
He acknowledged the economic challenges facing the country but insisted the Tinubu-led government has made notable progress. "We have seen significant milestones in various sectors, but I assure you, the best is yet to come," Akpabio was quoted as saying by the News Agency of Nigeria.
President Tinubu, who assumed office in May 2023, has implemented economic reforms including the removal of a long-standing fuel subsidy. These policies have been met with public protests over rising living costs. The APC convention, a key party event, focused on unity and reviewing the party's performance.
