Ajax Amsterdam announced on June 27, 2026, the signing of Moroccan defender Fouad Zahouani. The 20-year-old has agreed to a contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2029, subject to the completion of administrative formalities.
Zahouani, who previously played for the Moroccan club FUS Rabat, is expected to initially join Ajax's reserve team, Jong Ajax, to adapt to the club's style and competition. The transfer fee was not disclosed.
Ajax's director of football, Gerry Hamstra, stated: 'Fouad is a talented defender with great potential. We are pleased to have him join our club and look forward to his development.'
