Airlink has announced a new weekly nonstop service between Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), starting June 2026. The flights will operate on Saturdays using Embraer E190 aircraft, with a flight time of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
This route aims to boost tourism and business connectivity between South Africa and Tanzania. Zanzibar, a popular tourist destination known for its beaches and historic Stone Town, has seen increasing demand from Southern African travelers.
Airlink's expansion comes as part of its broader strategy to enhance regional air travel in Africa. The airline currently serves over 45 destinations across the continent.
