Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) has announced it will operate in an enhanced mode during the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to take place in Baku from May 16 to 20, 2026. The decision aims to facilitate the transportation of participants and visitors attending the event.
According to ADY's official statement, additional trains and increased frequency on key routes will be provided to manage the expected influx of attendees. The enhanced services will cover connections between Baku and other major cities, as well as suburban lines serving the capital.
WUF13, organized by UN-Habitat, is a global conference focusing on sustainable urbanization. Baku was selected to host this edition, bringing together government officials, urban planners, and civil society representatives from around the world.
ADY's measures are part of broader logistical preparations by Azerbaijani authorities to ensure smooth mobility during the forum. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules and book tickets in advance.
