The 6th edition of the World Week of Francophone Science (Semaine mondiale de la Francophonie scientifique, SMFS) is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 15, 2026, in Agadir, Morocco, according to a press release from the Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF).
The event aims to promote scientific cooperation and dialogue among French-speaking researchers, universities, and institutions worldwide. Previous editions have focused on themes such as sustainable development, digital transformation, and health sciences.

This edition follows the 5th SMFS held in 2024 in Quebec, Canada, which gathered over 1,000 participants from 80 countries. The AUF represents more than 1,000 member institutions across 119 countries.
