Spy shots of the 2026 Geely Boyue L have emerged from China, showing a heavily refreshed version of the popular SUV. The test vehicle, spotted near Geely's headquarters in Hangzhou, features a redesigned front fascia with a larger grille and new LED headlights, as well as updated taillights and a revised rear bumper.
The Boyue L, which shares its platform with the Proton X70, is expected to receive a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain option. This aligns with Geely's strategy to electrify its lineup, though official specifications have not been confirmed. The current Boyue L offers 1.5L turbo and 2.0L turbo petrol engines.
Industry analysts suggest the updated Boyue L could debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, though Geely has not announced a launch date. The Proton X70, based on the previous Boyue L, may receive similar updates for the Malaysian market in 2027.
