BULACAN — Sixteen individuals were arrested in a series of anti-drug operations conducted by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office on Wednesday, May 13, resulting in the confiscation of nearly P1 million worth of suspected shabu.
Lt. Col. Mark Louie M. de Leon, acting chief of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, confirmed the arrests and seizures in a report on Thursday. The operations were carried out in various towns and cities across the province, including Malolos, Meycauayan, and San Jose del Monte.
Police seized a total of 150 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P1,020,000. The suspects, aged 19 to 52, are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Bulacan police continue their intensified campaign against illegal drugs as part of the Philippine National Police's nationwide anti-drug drive.
