Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Johan Rojas has been suspended 80 games without pay following a positive test for the performance-enhancing substance Boldenone, a violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced the suspension on March 17, 2026.

The suspension is effective immediately at the start of the 2026 regular season. Rojas, 24, will be ineligible for the first half of the Phillies' schedule and will forfeit his salary for the duration of the ban.

Rojas issued a statement through the MLB Players Association accepting the suspension. "I accept the penalty and take full responsibility for my actions," he said. "I apologize to my teammates, the Phillies organization, and the fans for my mistake."

The Phillies organization stated they were "disappointed" by the news and fully support MLB's drug policy. Rojas, known for his elite defense in center field, was expected to compete for a significant role this season after appearing in 149 games for the Phillies in 2025.
