The Paramount Chief of Ada Traditional Area, Nene Abraham Kabu Akuaku III, has launched a collaborative security initiative with local police and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to address the growing threat of land guard activities plaguing his community.
The traditional leader expressed serious concerns about the escalating violence and intimidation tactics employed by unauthorized land guards, which have been disrupting peace and property rights in the Ada district. These activities have created fear among residents and legitimate landowners who face harassment and threats when attempting to develop or access their properties.
Speaking at a security meeting, Nene Akuaku III emphasized the urgent need for coordinated action between traditional authorities and law enforcement agencies. The partnership aims to establish comprehensive surveillance and rapid response mechanisms to identify and prosecute those involved in illegal land guard operations.
The initiative represents a significant step toward restoring security and confidence in land ownership within the Ada Traditional Area, as community leaders work alongside security forces to protect residents' rights and maintain territorial integrity.
