Namibian police conducted multiple drug-related arrests across the country over the weekend of March 14-15, 2026. Operations took place in several towns including Khorixas, Lüderitz, Windhoek, Rehoboth, Kamanjab, and Keetmanshoop.
In Lüderitz, two Namibian men, aged 28 and 30, were arrested after police found a substantial quantity of cannabis and mandrax tablets in their vehicle. The suspects are expected to appear in the Lüderitz Magistrate's Court.
Separate incidents in other towns led to further arrests for possession of illicit substances. The police weekend crime report detailed these coordinated efforts as part of ongoing operations to combat drug trafficking and abuse nationwide.
The Namibian Police Force has reiterated its commitment to enforcing drug laws. All suspects remain in custody pending formal charges and court appearances.
