A federal jury in Texas has convicted eight individuals on terrorism-related charges stemming from a 2024 shooting at an immigration facility in the state. The defendants were found guilty of providing material support to terrorists and conspiracy to provide material support, among other charges.

The charges relate to an attack on February 23, 2024, at the Nationalist Social Club-131's clubhouse in Austin, which prosecutors described as a facility linked to immigration enforcement. According to court documents and Department of Justice statements, the group planned and carried out the shooting, which resulted in injuries.

During the trial, prosecutors argued the defendants were motivated by anti-fascist, or "antifa," ideology and targeted the facility for its perceived ties to white nationalism and immigration. This case has been highlighted by the Justice Department as a significant domestic terrorism prosecution.

The convictions mark a conclusion to a major investigation by the FBI and other federal agencies. Sentencing for the eight individuals is scheduled for a later date, where they could face decades in prison.
