Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit in the Rift Valley region have arrested a suspect and recovered cannabis bhang with an estimated street value of Ksh8.1 million. The operation took place on the evening of Saturday, March 14, 2026.

According to a verified report from the DCI, officers intercepted a Toyota Voxy vehicle along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway. The driver attempted to flee, leading to a dramatic chase before he was apprehended.

The suspect is currently in custody pending further investigation and arraignment in court. The DCI stated the seizure is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
