The All England Lawn Tennis Club has confirmed that video review technology will be used for line calls at The Championships, Wimbledon, for the first time in 2026. The system, which allows players to challenge an umpire's call, will be implemented on all courts.

This move brings Wimbledon in line with the other three Grand Slam tournaments. The US Open and Australian Open already utilize electronic line-calling systems, while the French Open uses the technology on its main show courts.

The decision follows a successful trial period and aims to increase accuracy and fairness in officiating. The specific technology to be deployed, such as a system like Hawk-Eye, will be finalized closer to the tournament date.

The 2026 Wimbledon Championships are scheduled to be held from Monday, June 29 to Sunday, July 12.
