The Guinean national football team, Syli National, has been hit by injuries to two players ahead of critical 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Defender Saidou Sow and midfielder Aguibou Camara are confirmed to be unavailable for the upcoming matches.

Saidou Sow, who plays for Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg, sustained a muscular injury during a league match. Medical assessments have ruled him out of action for several weeks, forcing him to miss the national team's schedule.

Midfielder Aguibou Camara, currently with Greek club Atromitos, is also sidelined due to injury. His absence further depletes the squad's options in the midfield ahead of the important qualifying fixtures.

The injuries come at a challenging time for Guinea, which is competing in Group G of the African qualifiers. The team is scheduled to face Algeria and Uganda in early June 2026. Coach Kaba Diawara will now have to adjust his squad selection for these crucial games.
