RC Strasbourg defenders Samir El Mourabet and Gessime Yassine have received their first senior call-ups to the Morocco national team. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced the squad for upcoming friendly matches against Serbia and the Czech Republic in late March 2026.

Samir El Mourabet, a 22-year-old left-back, has been a consistent performer for Strasbourg this season. Gessime Yassine, a 21-year-old center-back, has also impressed with his defensive contributions. Both players are products of the club's youth academy.

The call-ups come as Morocco prepares for its 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign. Head coach Walid Regragui is assessing his options ahead of crucial matches later in the year. The friendly against Serbia is scheduled for March 26, followed by a match against the Czech Republic on March 29.

This marks a significant milestone in the careers of both young defenders, who will join a squad featuring established stars like Achraf Hakimi and Sofyan Amrabat. Their selection highlights the continued development of talent at RC Strasbourg.
