Ouarzazate, a key tourist destination in southern Morocco, recently hosted an international film crew for a promotional campaign. The project was a collaboration between the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and the airline Ryanair, aimed at showcasing the region's attractions to European markets.
Filming took place on March 18 and 19, 2026, transforming the city into an open-air set. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to increase tourist arrivals, particularly from European countries served by Ryanair's flight network to Morocco.
The promotional video is intended to highlight Ouarzazate's unique landscapes and cultural heritage, which have made it a popular filming location for major international productions. The ONMT stated the campaign aligns with its goal of making Morocco a top travel destination.
