Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) hosted the 2026 Northeast Indiana Regional Science Fair on its campus. The event showcased scientific research projects created by middle and high school students from across the region.

According to PFW's official communications, the fair serves students from Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells, and Whitley counties. It is an affiliate of the Society for Science's Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), allowing top winners to advance to the prestigious international competition.

The university stated that the event aims to foster STEM education and provide young scientists with a platform to present their work to judges from academia and industry. Winners in various categories receive awards and recognition for their research efforts.
