A planned Hari Raya Aidilfitri visit in Melaka led to the grim discovery of a neighbor's decomposing body on Monday, March 23. The incident occurred at an apartment in Krubong.
Suffian Abdul Majid, 52, stated he intended to visit his neighbor when he was met with a foul odor emanating from the unit. This prompted him to alert the authorities.
Melaka Tengah district police chief Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit confirmed the discovery. Police found the body of a 60-year-old man, believed to have been dead for several days. The case has been classified as sudden death, with no foul play suspected based on the initial investigation.
The body was taken to the Melaka Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death. Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances.
