Morocco's National Tourist Office (ONMT) has entered a strategic partnership with low-cost airline Ryanair to promote the destination of Ouarzazate to international travelers. The campaign, launched in early 2026, leverages Ryanair's extensive European network to highlight the region's cinematic heritage and natural attractions.
Ouarzazate, often called the "Door of the Desert," is home to the renowned Atlas Corporation film studios, a major draw for international productions. The partnership aims to increase flight bookings and tourist arrivals by showcasing the area's kasbahs, desert landscapes, and its status as a filming location for major Hollywood and television series.
The ONMT stated the initiative is part of a broader strategy to diversify tourist offerings and attract visitors year-round. Ryanair will promote Ouarzazate through its digital channels and flight network, making the destination more accessible from key European markets. This collaboration follows previous ONMT agreements with other airlines to boost inbound tourism to Morocco.
