The Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT) participated in the ITB Berlin travel trade show, held from March 4-6, 2026, to attract foreign investment into Morocco's tourism sector. The state-owned agency showcased a portfolio of investment projects to international investors and tour operators, aligning with the country's "Morocco, Land of Light 2026-2030" tourism roadmap.

At the event, SMIT emphasized strategic projects in coastal, desert, mountain, and cultural tourism. The agency highlighted Morocco's goal to attract 17.5 million tourists and create 80,000 new hotel beds by 2026, as part of its broader development strategy.

The participation aimed to strengthen Morocco's position as a leading destination and secure partnerships to develop new tourism infrastructure and products, leveraging the global platform provided by one of the world's largest tourism fairs.
