Manchester United's push for a top-four finish suffered a blow after a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, a match marred by a red card for defender Harry Maguire. The England international, recently recalled to the national squad, was dismissed in the second half for a second bookable offense.

Bournemouth took the lead twice through Dominic Solanke, with Bruno Fernandes equalizing on both occasions for United. The visitors played the final 20 minutes with ten men following Maguire's sending-off, unable to find a winning goal.

The result leaves Manchester United's position in the Premier League table uncertain, with rivals for Champions League qualification having games in hand. Manager Erik ten Hag described the result as "two points dropped" in the race for the top four.
