Lille OSC midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has been selected for the France men's Olympic (U23) team for their upcoming friendly matches in March. The call-up comes after the 18-year-old was not included in the first squad named by new Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi.

The French Football Federation (FFF) announced its 23-man squad on March 14, 2026, for matches against the United States and Ivory Coast in Toulon. Bouaddi, a dual-national player, was among the players summoned by coach Thierry Henry.

Morocco's new manager, Mohamed Ouahbi, unveiled his inaugural squad for March friendlies against Senegal and Ghana on March 13. The list did not include Bouaddi, leaving his international future open. Players are eligible to switch national allegiance until they play a competitive senior international match.

The France U23 team will gather for a training camp beginning March 23. Their matches serve as preparation for the 2026 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, where they will attempt to secure a place in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
